Level Up Your Website for New Year

We’re walking into the last quarter of the year (we can hardly believe it) and we’re ready to finish strong! How about you?

Now is the perfect time to make some simple updates on your website so you’re ready to go for new clients, customers, and growth in the new year. We put together a list of 6 things to update on your website to help you start the year refreshed and ready to go.

1. ADD A CLEAR TAGLINE/STATEMENT It's a one-sentence statement that tells your clients or customers exactly what you do within seconds of landing on your website. When people know what you do, they’re more likely to make a purchase from you, recommend you to their friends, and remember your brand or business. 2. UPDATE YOUR TESTIMONIALS Testimonials help you boost your credibility and share your experience with your website visitors, which means they’re pretty important! If you have testimonials featured on your website, swap out the old ones with recent reviews from the past year. 3. UPDATE YOUR PORTFOLIO The same to your testimonials, you’ve had an entire year of new projects under your belt. If your portfolio is out of date, be sure to update it with projects from the past year. 4. REFINE YOUR SERVICES OR RAISE YOUR PRICE

If you’ve been considering raising your prices, the new year is the perfect time to do it! Another year has passed, which means you have even more experience and value to offer. It's also a good idea to refine your services page if you're removing or adding services in the new year. 5. ADD OR CHANGE YOUR EMAIL OPT-IN

If you already have an email opt-in, take this time to refresh what you’re offering to attract new subscribers and offer even more value to your audience. 6. UPDATE YOUR IMAGES

Give your website an instant refresh by updating your images. This is a simple and easy way to make your website feel new without doing a major change. If you have brand photography, update your old images with your most recent photoshoot images. If you don’t have photography, don’t worry! You can find free dynamic stock images that fit your brand on websites like Shutterstock or Unsplash (two of my favorites).
